Guantánamo

Infamous for the illegal US marine base located in its bay, Guantánamo is a province in the very east of Cuba. Back in the times this area were the main place where the Taíno could hold up against the Spanish. The vast mountains in this area make home for an almost untouched wildlife, and to the 305 meter high Fino Falls. Guantánamo’s popular tourist destination, Cuba’s first city ever and its first capital is Baracoa. Baracoa is famous for the magical beauty of its natural habitat and the stunning atmosphere of the city. The best beach in the province of Guantánamo is Maguana.
