Holguín

Fidel Castro’s birthplace Holguín, is one of the three provinces in Cuba with a population of more than one million people. Christopher Columbus first set foot here in Cuba and he was mesmerised by the sight of it. There are many stunning beaches in Holguín, including Guardalavaca. With a height of 127 metres, the Guayabo Falls are here. In terms of archaeological sites, the richest province in Cuba is Holguín.
